“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take away your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26, NLV)
Life can be hard, can’t it? When it gets hard, it can harden your heart, causing you to get cynical, calloused. When this happens, you become jaded towards others and their needs. This is bad. It’s bad for people in need, but it’s also bad for your need to serve.
God knows the threat of a hardened heart. As a result, God as the Creator Cardiologist, wants to give you a heart transplant. As we read in today’s verse, God longs to remove your heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh…soft and malleable to His will.
Are you struggling with a hard heart? Do you need a heart transplant? Allow God, the Creator Cardiologist, to give you a new heart, fill you with His Spirit, and change the way you see the world. Others are counting on you, and you need to serve. Let that transplant take place today!
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being my Creator Cardiologist. Forgive me for the hardness of my heart; and not just for me, but those I need to serve. I pray this in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
